Music

The Sunshine School welcomed Mr. Bob “The Music Man” to our school on Friday.  Mr. Bob taught the students about different string instruments and gave lessons in playing the dulcimer and the mandolin.  All the children had a turn playing the instruments…. and then the dancing began!

Enrichment

Also last week, our enrichment classes learned about sink or float.  This activity was an opportunity to introduce the students to the concepts of prediction and testing.  A wide variety of objects were used in this experiment such as cotton balls, plastic spoons, paper clips and pennies.  The children were encouraged to make predictions and test out their hypotheses.

• 3 Year old field trips to Mama’s Pizza are on the 18th and 25th.  Please check the sign up sheets in the coat room for your child’s date and time.
• 4 Year old Horse Farm Trips are the 24th and 26th with a rain date of the 27th.  Please check the sign up sheets in the coat room for your child’s date and time.

OPEN HOUSE

SUNSHINE SCHOOL IS HAVING AN OPEN HOUSE ON SATURDAY, MAY 21ST FROM 10-2.
